Paul Allen James was born on September 3, 1877 in New Zealand and died on December 8, 1934 in Hornsby. The James lease ended on the Jersey Street property in 1939 and was returned to the owner, the Education Department. Hornsby TAFE College now stands on the site. P.A. James was a Hornsby Shire Councillor 1914 - 1934 and Shire President twelve times between 1916 - 1931.
